The University of Ballarat was engaged by the City of Ballarat to manage and coordinate Stage 3 of the Ballarat ICT Cluster during October 2007.The purpose of the project is to support a collaborative program of selective assistance and interventions that will increase the international participation and involvement of the organisations that comprise the Ballarat ICT Cluster.  The proposal builds on two previous projects undertaken and the recently developed ICT 2030 strategy for Ballarat.This document summarise progress which has been achieved during the six months between October 2007 and April 2008 in each of the areas of specific focus for the Stage 3 project which include information, training and support for local SMEs to access international markets and participate in international supply chains, fostering of research and development partnerships, pursuit of opportunity areas as identified by ICT 2030 and other research, continuation of the successful ICT panels, cluster coordination and ongoing evaluation.The Project Team would welcome feedback on this report.  To discuss this report or obtain further information please contact:Helen ThompsonProject ManagerBallarat ICT Cluster Consultancy Stage 3Centre for eCommerce and CommunicationsUniversity of BallaratPhone   03 5327 9418Mobile   0417 059 659Email   h.thompson@ballarat.edu.au
