SME access to international markets
Fostering greater internationalisation of the Ballarat ICT Cluster is central to Stage 3. Targeted activities include information, training and support for local SMEs to access international markets and participate in international supply chains. This will involve one on one mentoring, workshops and linking to state and national programs. Case studies will be developed to assist other companies understand the opportunities of a greater international focus.
The City of Ballarat has agreed to engage a consultation who will work with the Project Team to complete the following activities:

Develop a Case Study Series which showcases Ballarat ICT Cluster members and their international success.

Facilitate an information session for firms interested in achieving greater internationalisation.

Enrol a minimum of six firms in the Ballarat ICT Cluster International Market Program.

Undertake firm visits and conduct reviews to identify potential and priorities for internationalisation.

Develop and document an agreed set of actions and activities with each participating firm. Activities may include linking in with local, state and national export programs, etc.

Provide one on one mentoring.

Assist in coordinating forum where participating firms report back on the outcome of participation in program.
Project activities will commence during May 2008 and be prior to the end of August 2008.
