Next steps and further information
Phase 1 and Phase 2 activities associated with the Ballarat ICT Cluster Consultancy have confirmed that there is the potential to establish an ICT Cluster within the broader Ballarat region. Immediate steps are therefore being taken by stakeholders to secure resources to which will support the formal establishment of the cluster. These steps include:
- Communicating project outcomes to key stakeholders including City of Ballarat, cBallarat and Regional Development Victoria and via the www.ballaratict.com website.
- Confirming the level of financial and in-kind support that will be made available from organisations including the City of Ballarat and cBallarat.
- Assisting local Regional Development Victoria representatives in preparing documentation to support an application for funding through the Regional Innovation Cluster Program to establish the Ballarat ICT cluster.
- Continuing to hold regular meetings of the Ballarat ICT Cluster Steering Committee.
- Ensuring that regular updates and provided and that information continues to be disseminated to members of the Ballarat ICT Cluster via the www.ballaratict.com web-based communication and management system.
Once additional resources have been secured key stakeholders associated with the Ballarat ICT Cluster will be in a position where they can commence implementation of the priority actions that have been identified through the Ballarat ICT Cluster Consultancy (Phase 1 and Phase 2).
