At the last UB Tech Park and Ballarat IT Specialists breakfast the Department of Industry, Innovation and Regional Development spoke about the new and exciting program initiatives that have been launched by the Victorian Government to support innovation and commercialisation of high-tech SMEs.

The next Ballarat ICT for Women Lunch will now take place in early December 2008. This will also be our final function for 2008. Further information will follow as it becomes available.
ACKMIDS Conference

The University of Ballarat is hosting this year’s conference and invites Regional Victorian attendees to register at the discounted rate of $320.00 (including dinner).
The Australian Conference on Knowledge Management and Intelligent Decision Support (ACKMIDS) to be held at the University of Ballarat in December will explore the issues emerging from the exploitation of Knowledge Management and Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) with a special focus on how knowledge technologies can empower communities.
