IT2010 Strategy Feedback

Ballarat IT2010 is a high level discussion paper outlining the key benefits, differentiations and broad industry development the factors emanating from a Victorian State IT Centre to be located at Ballarat. That discussion paper concluded that the Victorian government establishment of a major IT Centre at Ballarat to supply computer processing and other services for the Public Transport Commission and VicRoads when coupled with other regional initiatives and advantages had the potential to underpin the development of a sustainable, world class information technology industry focussed on Victoria. However, for that vision to be realised, rapid action needed to be taken to consolidate and enhance this first step.
